Across the county

Five boroughs, one team

West Yorkshire isn’t one place — it’s a big city, a run of mill towns, ex-mining streets and moor-edge villages, each with its own access. Here’s where we work.

Leeds

LS

The county’s big city — the financial and retail core, the Victorian arcades and the two universities, plus the terraced student belt in Headingley and Hyde Park and the estates ringing the outer LS postcodes.

Removals in Leeds →

Bradford

BD

The old wool capital and 2025 City of Culture — Little Germany’s warehouses, the back-to-back terraces on the hills, and the mill conversions that fill the valley down towards Shipley.

Removals in Bradford →

Wakefield

WF

The cathedral city and the Five Towns beyond it — the Hepworth on the Calder, the market streets, and the ex-mining towns of Castleford, Pontefract and Normanton out east.

Removals in Wakefield →

Huddersfield

HD

The heart of Kirklees — the grand station front, the university, and the steep stone streets climbing out towards the Colne and Holme valleys and the Pennine edge.

Removals in Huddersfield →

Halifax

HX

Calderdale’s hill town — the Piece Hall, the deep valley sides above Hebden Bridge and Sowerby Bridge, and the cobbled, near-vertical streets that make every load a proper plan.

Removals in Halifax →

Dewsbury & Batley

WF12–WF17

The heavy-woollen district between Leeds and Huddersfield — dense terraced streets, mill-town centres and the mix of trade and residential that keeps the removals steady.

Removals in Dewsbury & Batley →

Keighley & Worth Valley

BD20–BD22

Up the Aire and into Brontë country — Keighley’s mills, Haworth’s steep main street, and the moorland villages where access means narrow lanes and no assumptions.

Every kind of Yorkshire street

We’ve carried up worse than yours

West Yorkshire throws everything at a removals crew — cobbled hills, back-to-backs with no rear access, mill-lofts up a goods lift, city one-ways, moor-edge lanes. None of it’s a surprise. We plan the access before the day, bring the right van for the road, and carry the last stretch by hand when the street won’t let a lorry near.

How we handle a move
  • Cobbled Pennine streets

Halifax and Huddersfield’s near-vertical setts — we bring a van that suits the hill and the hands to carry the last stretch.

  • Stone back-to-back terraces

No back door, no drive, a shared front — Leeds and Bradford terraces need the load planned before we turn up, not after.

  • Converted-mill flats

Grand old warehouses with goods lifts, tight turns and booking rules — we sort the access with the building first.

  • Urban Leeds & Bradford

City-centre one-ways, loading bays and permit bays — we plan where the van goes so the carry stays short and legal.

  • Rural Wharfedale lanes

Ilkley, Otley and the moor-edge villages — single-track lanes and long farm drives, planned rather than chanced.

Why us

No drama. Just a move done properly.

There’s a way of doing removals that’s all patter and no plan. It isn’t ours. We reckon a move is judged on simple things: nowt broken, nowt lost, a crew who are decent to have about the house, and a final bill that matches the quote you were given. Get those right and the rest takes care of itself.

So we survey first, we plan the access — the cobbled hill, the terrace with no back door, the mill-loft goods lift — and we keep one team on your move from the first box to the last. Whether you’re shifting across Leeds or heading from a Halifax hillside to the south of France, you get straight talk and a job done right.

Good to know

Questions we get asked

Do you cover the whole of West Yorkshire?

We do — all five boroughs. Leeds and the LS ring, Bradford and up the Airedale, Wakefield and the Five Towns, Huddersfield and Kirklees, Halifax and Calderdale, plus Dewsbury, Keighley and the Wharfedale villages. If you’re out towards the county edge — Craven, north Kirklees, the Calder valley — that’s no bother either.

Can you handle steep, cobbled or terraced streets?

It’s half the county, so it’s half the job. Halifax and Huddersfield’s cobbled hills, Leeds and Bradford back-to-backs with no rear access, converted-mill flats with a goods lift — we look at the access before the day, bring a van that suits the street, and plan the carry rather than chance it.

How do you work out a quote?

We look at the size of the move, the access at both ends and the distance, then anything extra like packing or storage. For a bigger home we’ll do a survey — in person or by video — so the price is based on what’s actually there, not a guess. You get it in writing, no obligation.

Do you do man and van as well as full removals?

Aye. For a single room, a few big items or a quick collection, a driver and a right-sized van is often the sensible shout. For a whole house you’re usually better with a full crew — we’ll tell you straight which one fits.

Can you move us from West Yorkshire to Europe?

We can. We run household moves that leave from anywhere in the county to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, framed as a route pair — West Yorkshire to your new address abroad. We plan the road route, sort the post-Brexit customs paperwork, and keep one team on the move throughout.
